78Suburban
1/2 ton status
Its been about a million years since I've been on here, but I reckon some of the people I know here will remember me. Just wanted to let you guys know that I'm trading in the trusty ol suburban. I'm really going to miss her, but I'll soon be trading her for a van. Sadly I think I'll have to tow her about 200 miles, which might finish off the old dodge's transmission going up mountain roads to north Georgia, but the van the dude has offered to trade me is EXACTLY what I want. Hope I'm doing the right thing, I just don't have the time or money to work on the old burb right now. I can always find another 4x4 in the future, perhaps next time I'll go for a blazer
Here's the add I posted about trading it, for a recap on the stuff I've done to it and its current mechanical condition. Only things I forgot to put on there are that it also has disk brakes all around and an ORD steering brace. Definitely losing out a bit on the deal, but I'm completely broke and 4x4's aren't exactly selling like hotcakes right now. A good running van with 60k miles is just way more useful to me at this point in my life, as I'm about to embark upon a nomadic adventure out west.
