Hey everyone i might be buying a 90 :burb:. The guy says it runs strong which it does took it for a spin. it also has working front and rear ac/heat. Well the problems are the tranny is lazy in reverse, the rear tail pan it rotted , and it has auto hubs:o. Well hes asking for 500 for it but said to make him an offer. Its a 90 :burb: 350tbi/700r4/241 or 208 not sure. what else should i look for? And its for the girlfriend and baby. mabe in the furture it will be a mud runner.:D

1990 will have a 241, IIRC. 700r4 means it's a 1/2 ton; 3/4's have the TH400. Crappy mileage but run forever, unlike the 700's.

1991 3/4's have the coveted 4L80E, btw. OTOH, that one's cheap, and Burbs are fun -- like a Blazer, but carry waaay more stuff ;D

yeah if i ever sell mine i will buy a crew cab...if i never sell mine im gonna cut the back off so its like a crew cab..

yeah if i ever sold my truck i would either buy a crew cab or a dodge with a cummins..but other than that i love my burb...its just slow thats all...

We all like Chevy's here, and that does sound like a good deal for what you describe, but why don't you buy her a small car that is easy on gas? With a baby and all, it would be good to save money you would usually spend on gas with a larger DD. I know it is not my business to comment on your personal life, but i think it'd be a smart move.

I would buy it, But then again, I just bought my 3rd Suburban last week. So it is safe to say I really like them.
