Is a 1980 chevy blazer tailgate interchangeable with a 1986 GMC Jimmy tailgate? I'm pretty sure that the body lines did not change but I want to make sure that this is true.

Yeah it fits , fits all 78-91 I believe .

yes they will. Two versions are available the silverado package has chrome trim around the edge of the lens, the other does not. Either lens will fit its just an aesthetic detail.

The wiring connector is going to be different, wiring may as well. Nothing major, but the plugs are totally different (weatherpack vs. rubber round IIRC) and I believe GM ran a ground through the wiring from the tailgate to the frame on the later stuff as well.

I don't have to worry about the wiring, the motor is shot in the new tailgate that I am buying. I just want to make sure that every thing will line up and look right.
