I got the axle shaft I ordered, and it fits. However, I would recommend selling a stud kit if the purchaser is putting it on a newer body style GM product (much like my Yukon) The hole for the studs is 0.020 of an inch too small, and the metric factory studs won't fit. The thread needs to be 14mmx1.25 pitch with a base 14mm across to mount in the flange. I'm awaiting new studs to arrive.

Still like it and glad I could help keep the CK5 community alive:thumb:

The guys at NAPA got annoyed and said that it's common for aftermarket to do stuff like that, so no problem on your end.

I'll drop superior a line and see what they have to say, they're supposed to be a factory replacement shaft except a better alloy and heat treat. Not being able to fit a factory stud in there pretty well screws that up.
Thanks for the feedback!

I actually decided to take it to the machine shop and see what he could do. He took a punch and reamed out the holes to the right spec.
