for that kind've $$$, I'll build you a 500CID caddy motor thats eat that THING for breakfast, on pump gas, plus be a reliable engine for driving everyday, I'd put money on that engine not lasting a month driving the way I push my caddy motor. nice to see somebody pushin' the limits /forums/images/graemlins/bow.gif /forums/images/graemlins/hack.gif /forums/images/graemlins/weld.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grind.gif

A good buddy of mine spent a few of his hard earned bones for that motor with the Motown block. They told him it was bullet proof and could handle anything he could throw at it. He put a 250 shot on it and it blew so hard it busted the hood loose from the hinges. It was about 3 weeks old. He called them, and they said they would be glad to rebuild it.... and charge him! I didnt think that was too sporty /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

I, personally would NEVER buy one. For me, I'de still build a stout big Block. But it just amazes me to what extent they can go and still call it a "small block"!! Whats next, 500 ci???? Then we'll go 900ci BBC!!!

No joke...The guy that built my 454 just recently slapped together a 732ci BBC...IT was insane...Made 1660hp at 7000rpm and 1250ft.lbs at 4600rpm...

Horsepower TV a year or two ago showed some block that has like a 5" bore, it was setup to be 1000 cui. They named the company but I was never able to locate anything about them.

Yikes!!!!! Look at that price tag, geesh.
I got 472 ci for $100 dollars not pushing those hp/tq numbers but for under $1000 I could do lots to it and be close to those numbers. I would hate to sacrifice reliability and my gas mileage right now for braggin rights.
