Hi Amp Alternator & Low RPM

Not a fan of the cs130. Remember them having bad rotors. The steel fingers would expand and catch the stator, lock a 350 with serpentine up solid.
Don't know if the cs144 do the same thing.
That’s crazy you say that. I just had to replace a non-charging alternator on my blazer. When I took it off the case was cracked and mounting tab broken. I Was wondering what happened, now I think I know.

After talking with the tech @ Powermaster he did say the OEM CS ALTs are better... that does not apply to their ALTs he claims..... The guts are the same in both Powermaster cases..
AND for low RPM the 150 is recommended as it makes 100amp at startup ....\
Time Will Tell :waytogo:
After looking and looking... OMG BLACK ALT is an option? OMG back in the day you had plain or chrome and chrome meant HIGH Temp issues = HELL No!

hell yeah I ordered the Black one :pimp::usaflag:flagwaver:pimp::burnout:

While I understand that there were probably cases of this, I have seen too many cases where someone ran one until the belt melted off to be worried about that personally. The stock bearings weren't capable of taking lots of heat, which is why I use the Iceberg case halves. More cooling for the rectifier and larger bearings. Two on V-belt and one on serpentine. I haven't had a problem with one in over 10 years myself. Maybe things got worked out. I believe that the tight tolerances which help low RPM charging are why they could expand and cause problems. Not positive.

Was always a gmt400 I had to go rescue. New alt, belt and tensioner, road side repair so 30ish years ago
