hi from north carolina/ need a lil help

hi everyone im new here, im from north carolina and i have a 86 gmc jimmy fullsize with 350/700r4 3" lift and 31/10.5/15 kodiaks and i have a 82 chevy k5 with a 6.2 700r4 2"lift and 33/12.50/15 bfg mud terrains. ( i just picked the 82 up this weekend for 500 bucks and i know nothing about a diesel really) my question is will a gm turbo from a 6.5 fit on the 6.2 and whats involved and needed? i got a torn down 6.5 with the k5 when i bought it and it has a turbo and id like to use it on my 6.2 if i can. thanks in advance

It can be made to fit, but it is not a direct bolt up operation. Check out the diesel forum here for a few threads on it.
