Hi-Lift

I have never actually purchased a high lift but I've got three of em! They are awfully handy but I've only used one when I broke a rear spring and pinion yoke at the same time.

I got a shiny new one sitting in the garage from Christmas. To bad the truck it’s meant for is broken down in there also.

I've owned the same hi-lift for 20yrs now, a shot of wd40 and it runs like new. I agree, they're better tools than jacks, I never work under a truck on a hi-lift but I use them to move trucks on the trail.

The only high jacks I ever see are on nice, clean and shiny rubicons, oh, the high jacks look the same, nice, clean and shiny

I bought one years ago. Used it twice on the trail. Once to free the truck from being high centered on the gas tank skid. The other time the truck was nosed into a ditch in the snow and tried to jack it up to free it. Both times a winch would have been better to pull the truck out of the problem.

I never carry mine anymore. I use a small bottle jack for tire changes on the trail.

Hi-lifts are way too valuable on the trail to leave behind IMO.

Being serious oes anyone have experience with using a exhaust jack on the trail or seen one in use? I like the concept of it but not sure of the performance on the trail. If a bottle jack and a plywood base are enough for most situations I'll save my money for fuzzy dice and light bars.

Appreciate your time.
