Hey nice to see another Fresnan :D nice to meet you! Hope to see you around.

I'm sure we will, Fresno is big but its not too bad. I'm sure we've seen each other and just haven't realized it, lol.

LMC as stated before and Chevy Duty (that URL still works, I think) are a good source of GM and repro parts. The LMC catolog has a lot of exploded views which help.

I'm sure most of you have found these on their site but if not here are some fullsize shots of their new rig...

regardless of what they "want" to do to their k5, if they hang out around here enough, it will end up being some sort of hardcore machine...seen it happen so many times. :) and thats not a bad thing

No kidding, look what you guys have done to me in the past few months....I've gone from wanting to do a gear swap to now when I get back to Fresno I'm going by officer Passmore's house to pick up the 14ff/d44 out of his parts truck, I'm swapping rims/tires, steering, it never ends compared to before when I was going to be content w/ my 1/2 ton stuff. lol
I've even been considering taking the saw to my fenders which I would have never have thought of before, but I munched the front driver's side quarter pannel in a little the other day so I figured it was a sign that I needed to cut.

Wow!!! Thanks for all the posts!!!

Right now we are just planing to redo the inside. Not sure what hubby wants to do with the engine if anything. Like I said we just bought it maybe a week ago, so not real sure whats inside, lol. All I know is its a V8 350 and the guy who owned it unplugged the heater and air conditioning for more power. It also has dual mufflers. But thats all I know so far.

:doah: Its really a shame I don't even know what size lift is on the truck or even the size of the tires  But here are some more pics....

Oh and we are planning to make the inside a royal blue and black, with a little white

i remember when i first got rid of all my carpet. had some pretty bad rust spots. doesnt look you guys have any! i ended up herculining the interior, makes it much easier to clean out with the hose after a day trip. so you guys going to put carpet back in correct?

Yes we are we are making everything bran new inside from bottom to top

very cool. you guys are going to love taking the top off and cruzing around. even on the hottest days, the breeze feels great!

Oh my we can't wait!!! It is actually really a blessing on how we got the truck. We were driving to go to the store and Danny has been wanting one of these for years now, but we just haven't found one that had everything he wanted, so we always look at the dealerships on the way to the store and I saw this big white Checy and said babe turn back I think I saw a truck you might want. After a little hesitation he turned around, just thinking its going to be nothing again. We got out and there was no sticker so we asked what this Chevy was going for, he said oh I just got it within the hour, some guy just traded it in, um.. 4,900. We looked all around, inside, and drove it and it was soo SOLD!! And it was exactly what Danny wanted exactly! Isn't that great! I was really happy for him and now the kids and I never want to get out of it, lol!
