I posted this in the wanted thread, but I feel like I didn't get much exposure there. In addition to my original post below I also determined that if anyone has these parts and is not willing to sell them Id be interested in detailed pictures and measurements. They look like they might be relatively easy to make myself.

I thought someone had started reproducing Hickey stuff, but their website hasn't been updated in a long time and almost everything shows out of stock.

I'm looking for the following Hickey Enterprises accessories. If anyone has them collecting dust, or knows of a truck that's being parted that has any of these parts I'd appreciate the help. If they need to be cleaned up and repainted that's fine, as long as they are still structurally sound and not bent up. Thanks

There is a guy selling a Hickey roof rack right now in the 73-87 section of 67-72chevytrucks.com.

Thanks for the replies. Like I mentioned in my original post that website doesn't look like it's been updated in a while (I'm pretty sure that's exactly how it looked about a year ago when I found it). Right now I'm looking just for the things pictured. This is for a Suburban build I may be starting, so I am looking for parts/information.

Thanks

I feel your pain. I'm a hickey fanatic. The parts themselves come up from time to time but get snapped up pretty quickly. I plan on getting a repro hood in fiberglass.

The website sucks and I don't think it's even being monitored. I tried to buy a minor part about 2 years ago.

bajajimober 125.JPG Fair warning on the Hickey parts from the website. The owner Ron Johnson, is a flake, imho. I watched a lot of people get ripped off or promised parts that never showed up. Yes, Hickey stuff is cool, but it's not worth the hassle.
I had a Hickey drop center hood. It was destroyed when my Blazer burned at the Baja 2000. I'd love to get one again. It really does make a difference in better visiblility when cresting a hill or ridge.

You still have the sidewinder on your 78!?

Oh, ya! The winch on the rear gets used more but the Sidewinder is dirt reliable. It always works, albeit it isn’t all that strong, cable is tiny and short….but it always works! Can’t say that for the 10,000 lb. Shittybilt winch on the rear bumper :poo:

I have an old WARN winch bumper to rebuild for it that would accept a much larger winch but I really don’t want to add any more weight to this thing. It already weights 8,000 lbs. when loaded for a trip. Although, I would take a Hickey brushguard to compliment the Sidewinder as they don’t weigh that much. I find most times when a winch is needed, we need it to go backwards out of a mess. Not a front winch to get further into one.

Right on Larry!

We got a truck recently with one on it... haven't decided whether to keep it on or not
Definitely will need to be remounted for sure if we do. :doah:

My dad has a Sidewinder with a whole bunch of spare parts (he used to work at Hickey) that he's wanting to sell. Any interest? I emailed pictures to the owner of the Hickey Enterprises website, but haven't heard back in some time.

I sent you a pm

Ok. Waiting to hear what parts you have. I have a friend who worked for hickey back in the day too. He sent me a picture of a company picnic from about 1976 I can send it to you if your dad might be in it. Matt
