Hidden Kill Switch for Anti-Theft - Need Ideas/Suggestions

Steering column cover for short term, swap a good fuse for a bad one long term. EFI makes that easy to do, and harder to figure out.

The best ideas aren't going to be here....now are they. I won't tell you exactly what I did on mine, not even my mechanic knows. But, on my last one, I used two switches...One to cut the power to the FITech computer, the other to cut the fuel pump. If I was leaving it parked, I'd use both, but for day to day running around, the fuel pump was fine. I also switched wire colors under the mat, so if you found the switch, and went to the firewall and found the corresponding wire color, it actually went to something else, so you're going to waste a lot of time....The GPS tracker is really something you should consider. Unless it goes underground or in a shipping container, you're going to get it back...Not many people expect one on an older vehicle, and a lot of insurance companies will offer a discount if you have one.

best i saw was one my buddy's dad did to a suburban... he didnt smoke, and there was this cigarette lighter sitting there...

he cut the back of the lighter body off, and installed a push on / push off switch at the back of the tube... then glued the contacts back on top of the switch button. when you pulled the lighter and looked in there... even knowing that it was modified... even knowing that your skin is not a metal coil like on the end of the lighter...

there is just something phycological about putting your finger in that hole... most people would not look in there, or be willing to "give it a try"
