Just finished up my cross over and im double thinkin the hiems. From what i understand, dirt will extremely shorten the life of a hiem joint. So my question is, has any one ever made some sort of dust cover or boot for thier hiems? if so what did you use? and did it work well? thank you in advance.

I wonder if you could use a shock boot, may look a bit tacky but would flex alot and keep crud out well

i think if it isnt completely sealed it would just hold in the crude/dirt and wear it out faster unless u cleaned it a lot. like most shocks with boots. most top end shocks dont even come with them cause thats about all they do is hold in the dirt on top of the seal. i think the best idea is grease them regularly. it will keep dirt out and push out any dirt that gets in,but thats only if u can grease them with a fitting. granted grease will grab the dirt but u cant win everytime:rolleyes:
