any easy inexpensive swaps I have a stock 5.7 87 blazer ?

How many amps do you need?

The CS130 is a fairly easy swap in terms of wiring and what not, and the CS144 isn't too bad either as I recall. Both are better designs than the earlier 10/12SI alternators, in terms of output. Both output more at lower RPMs, and the CS144 (Pontiac Transport application IIRC) was available with extremely high output, for that time, and being stock. Pretty good for a readily available parts store warranty piece.

I’m looking at at least 200 but 250 would be nice .

Using a full serpentine belt setup from 1998 K1500 I am running a 250 amp Cadillac stock alternator. Replaced all the wiring to battery and fuse block with much larger wiring.

Yeah, there are boat loads of 200+ amp alternators on eBay for SERP set ups. Lots of small shops selling their wares for sub $200.
