Does anyone know if HAD's slip yoke driveshafts are missing one spline inside the slipyoke? I need to weld up the breather hole inside and was told I need to remove a spline if one isn't already missing.

I don't have an answer for you but there is no reason for a spline to be missing in this application. The yokes from some two piece drivelines actually have one wide spline so that the two shafts can't be phased incorrectly.

The reason I ask is I am having a leak out if the slipyoke breather hole. A gut who ones a trans shop on a different board said I need to weld the hole shut, and also remove one of the splines when i do it.
The slip yoke will leak from the hole if the splines are worn out. I would not weld the hole shut either. Give Jesse at HAD a call. He doesn't frequent here as much these days but he will definately help you over the phone.
