High Clearance Crossmember+LS1=???

Does the HD crossmember work with LS motors???

I would guess it will work. Since new motor mounts need to be fabricated to fit the LS motors in you can place the crossmemeber then set the motor around that.

I have heard that there is a car oil pan that provides more clearance than the truck pans as well.

I was just about to post this in here. I was talking to stephen about a crossemember for my 6.0 going in my 84, and he wasnt sure, so I bit the bullet and ordered the big block crossmember. Got the motor in sunday and there is about 2.5" of room. So I figured I would let him and everyone know it will work with the big block crossmember. I am using the comp motor mounts in the stock location. I can shoot a pic tomorrow if anyone would like.

I'd like one! I'm looking for a 6.0L for my 84 also. I already have the comp motor mounts....did you use the motor mount brackets from Advance Adapters?

Yep, thats what I used. There are two sets of holes in the plates, and if you use the first holes, everything will bolt right up.

Sweet! Also, what suspension setup are you running? High-steer? Axle relocated?

I am running Hi steer with the axle in the stock location
