Hello,
A guy that I work for knows that I am building up my K5 into a show truck. Well he has a NEW 2900 High stall Torque Converter that he told me I could have for a very cheap price. My ? is when I am driving around will I have th rev the engine up (2900RPM)all the time before I can go anywhere?
Thanks
Adam

2900 stall is to much for a truck, even a show truck IMHO. it wouldn't start moving till about 800-1000 rpm or so (my guess).

the higher the stall, the more rpm required to get moving. that also means the more hp and tq to the wheels when it starts moving, which sometimes can be bad.
