Anyone who has one how do you like it? I’m considering picking one up. I’d like to know the dimensions of the radio cut out to see if it’s large enough for my Galaxy V55 10m radio. Always loved how these look. Of course I would paint it gray to match my interior.

Ohhh I like that. I have gauges taking up my stereo area and don't want to cut my doors for speakers. I wonder If I could cram that between my roof and roll cage?

I’d like to hear from guys running one because I’m kinda taller already and I have my seats lifted for comfort also wondering how low it hangs and how it holds up over time. Also if it fits with a cage.

Larry put one in his K10. It's been in there for a couple of years at least. I don't remember the speakers being high quality, but the rest of it works pretty good.

Says they will handle 10 watts! Haha
Yeah they sound cheap but I’ve also never been one to throw a “system” in vehicles either. I actually prefer to hear the truck over the radio. Would be hooked up to my CB/10m for coms. Which I’m sure 10 watts would do just fine. They can be upgraded I’m sure. But yeah it’s a little spendy for what you get I suppose.

Maybe the speakers sound cheap, but it's not like you can make open-mounted 3.5" speakers in the dash sound good either. I'd be curious if anybody has found a better speaker that fits in there or a way to go 5.25". Limiting it to 4" was probably done for depth reasons, but it also kind of kills the concept. I would think you could dyna-mat the sheet metal and then put that highliner in. Probably $450 to your door, which seems kind of high for what it is (plus sound deadener, plus paint), but I don't think there's any competition.

Speakers suck , you definitely want to dynamat or Lizard Skin the roof above I also sprayed some undercoating material on the back side of the headliner itself which really made it feel more “solid”

Good product after that , I mounted my CB in mine .

I put one in my '67 probably 15 years ago. Still looks new but the way the speakers are positioned, the outer speakers are closer to your head than the middle ones. Maybe you sound guru's know how to balance them out but I don't. I also don't run amps and all the high tech gadgets either.

ETA: Back then they were $180.
