Mr. Watson, how far forward of stock have you seen people move the front axle and run the D60 Highsteer/Crossover like mine? I was thinking 1" looks easy, but anyone tried 2"?

I think 1" is probably fine, I haven't heard of anyone doing more than that successfully but it depends a lot on the specific spring since a spring with more arch would move the axle back more as it compresses. There are also variations in the spring length that would change all this too. I think the only way to check this is to try it, probably in conjuction with some careful measuring.
