I know it's not a GM, but , a lot of guys here have them, so I thought I would share.
My 00 Dodge 2500 rolled 300k last Tuesday on my way home :eek1:. Still runs like a champ, pulls whatever I put behind it, 20-22mpgs on the highway unloaded and still pulls 16-17 mpg with 10k behind it. I won't go so far to say it's the best truck I have ever owned, but it definitely has the best truck engine I have ever owned. :D

Just did a pretty extensive service, so now I'm ready for the next 100k

Very nice man! have you owned it from day one?

Unfortunately no, it would look much nicer if I had. I had a beautiful 97 F250 diesel that was totaled when I used a windstar for a hood ornament when the driver ran a stop sign and I met him at 50ish. Needed a truck asap, bought this one from a friend who had just bought a 06 Ram because his business needed to spend some money. He regrets selling it every time he sees me :haha:

Cool.

My '84 K5 just hit 143,000 miles, on org. motor and trans, im actually hoping to see 200k before I have to rebuild or the oil leaks get worse, lol

I made it to 195,000 on my '83 before I installed another motor...it's amzing what regular maintenance will do

Auto, and currently have around 190k on my trans, approx 40-45% of that is towing, and some plowing. Tranny shifts like a champ, no slipping and no signs of any problems.
The reason you hear about people going through multiple trannies with diesels, especially Dodges, is instead of stepping up and buying a GOOD unit they replace with a stock or near stock tans and then complain that their hopped up rig spit out another trans. I am running a Suncoast unit with a triple disc converter, over kill for my truck, but almost 200k later I feel it was definitely worth it.

Well I would certainly say so. I never doubted the after market has fixed the issues inherit to the dodge transmission but they are definitely design flaws from the factory.

As the story goes, when Dodge first put the Cummins in and oked the deal They asked the Cummins folks what they recommended for a warrantee. The answer was 500k.
The Dodge Boys gagged and said thanks and made it 100k as the truck would not last as long as the engine.

My brother-in-law has a 93? (last of the square) with 340 on the clock and it is still going fine with the 5 speed. but anytime he comes over with it I think the garbage truck is early, make my 6.2 sound like a gasser.
