I live up in 29 Palms, Ca where summer temps hit 120 and it sucks the life out of you. I am thinking of grafting a hood vent from an M998 onto my suburban to help push air out and keep the under hood from cooking. Plus I think it will look cool to boot.

I haven't seen anyone do this after searching on here and the internets so if anyone has please shoot me a picture. I know the vent has a curve to it, so that will get flattened before it goes on.

I used hood louvers on my last Big Block Suburban, I was very impressed with the heat that escaped through these. I got them here: http://hoodlouvers.com/
Those are nice, but man that is a lot of money for them. I got the hmmwv hood vent for free so that is what I will go with. My hood is faded and worn down from the sand and sun so I might actually be adding value to it.
