HMMWV wheels and 2" spacers installed (PICS)

The spacers are made out of 6061, and I got them from Offroad Overstock in the vendors section.

I am transferring to Pascagoula MS (NAVY) for a year to year and a half.

What was up with the rear spacers?

Here is the math if anyone wants to know the calculations.

Exactly what I used to figure out how many I needed. I used the same airsoft pellets from Wal-Mart:D I had my local shop break the bead, I poured them in and they resealed the tire. It is like night and day driving now. I was amazed how much better it rides with them in.:thumb:

Certainly has me considering cutting my runflats too. I need to see how bad they are as is balance wise first.

Thanks for the info.

The magsesium cuts easier than you would think. It was pretty fast even doing it alone. If you had a porta-ban or and band saw it would only take a few minutes. Grinding was easy too.

And the only piece that caught on fire was the piece I set on fire with the MAP torch.
Be carefull....

The hub is about 1" inside of the sidewall of the tire. I don't have any more pics but I will get more when I install the rear spacers in the next few days.

Tag for pics.

If you had to do it again, would you get the 2" spacers again or? I am getting ready to do this.

Thanks!
