Looking at the shock length problem and now I'm wondering how much is enough/too much uptravel.

I run stock rear springs with an ORD flip so my springs are pretty flat to start. Is 2-3" of uptravel enough? Will limiting it to 2-3" cause other problems?

Get as much uptravel as you can without letting the spring arch go negative (don't let the springs "frown").

Is 2-3" of uptravel at the spring enough? Sure, most leaf spring suspensions have much more droop than compression.

Will setting up bumpstops to limit uptravel hurt anything? Nope.

Just changed this on mine.

Have 6" Alcan springs and 13' travel shocks.

1st set up was 6"s up and 7"s down but being the new tires hit the shocks I moved em.

New set up, 4.5"s up (right where the springs flatten out) and 8.5"s droop. :D
