Any body have experience with these? Looking for a 110v to do small projects, sheet metal work, and maybe a bumber for the burb.

I bought the Handler 140 at TSC a few years ago. Its been great. I don't have easy access to 220v, so 110 was a must for me. Its very portable, and been able to do all my projects on the Blazer so far. I even had to had to take it into the woods with a generator to fix a buddy's steering shaft. For the price, I love it.

I will probably upgrade when I get my house (in a few months hopefully) but this will still be my portable unit.

Mine works great its been about 1 and 1/2 years. I bought the 110 unit so I could drag it along with in the 5h wheel. I break out the stick machine on the really thick stuff, but for the $$ you cant go wrong.

I just ordered the Handler 187. My father tried to convince me to go with a 110 unit, but I figured I'd get 2X the welder for 20% more ($649 w/ cart and $50 gift card from Northern Tool). I didn't have 220V in the garage, but I figured how hard could it be to run some 10/2 w/ ground from a 30A breaker into the garage? Well, it took about 8 hours yesterday and now I have a 2'X2' drywall hole to patch! I basically had to rip the subpanel out of the wall to feed the wire into the small space above it. Now, I'm wishing I'd reconsidered the 110V welder :doah:
