looking at this unit for a backup gen setup for the house/ shop and also some side work maybe .

here is the story . its basically BRAND NEW with 2.7hr on the hour meter YES 2.7hr run time .

it was purchased brand new in the summer of 1999 for the Y2K global melt down fears and as we all know it didn't happen . it sat brand new on the shipping pallet in the shrink wrap for 10+ years in the barn . a guy working there dug it out and cleaned the carb and fired it up and tested it out for function and that was the end of it . its been sitting a few years now since run 4-5 years i think .

if i can make a deal knowing its 20years old what do you think is a fair price point to be at with this unit . ?

Had one literally given to us with just under 50 hours on it. Had some wiring that needed repairs from sitting for so long. But it was free.
To replace it today is 3200 bucks. Come in at the middle. I'm an ass who would start at 500 bucks.
1500 would probably do both sides well and everyone be happy. Of course depending on which exact model it is.
