hocky puck body lift

anybody ever seen that before? friend of my gf's brother has a 78 and he drilled holes through hocky pucks and used them as a body lift, two stacked on top of each other. i love doing red neck stuff but common even i think thats unsafe
 
Used to be pretty common and pucks are cheap, usually $.99. From what I've heard it works ok but after a few years the pucks start to crumble.
NOT saying I'd recomend it.

I've done it, they were a buck a piece, three years later I sold the vehicle with no ill effects in pucks.
 
Weak, go with stacked frames. It's way better

Stacked frames earns you real world respect ... women will flock to you and your truck will instantly grace the cover of at least 5 off road magazines. You will probably win the lotto or something also.
