Holley 3310-1 MPG and jet tuning

try one of these,

I have 72's primary, 76's secondary, and 6.5 power valve. I also run a 46 squirter.. but this is on a 355 in a Vette.
I have done the secondary metering block conversion also.
I would try tuning with your vac advance, initial timing, and advance curve also. These can make a big difference in driveability.

Good luckl, keep posting.

Thanks. Yep, I have one of the HP Holley books and have been tuning since I was a teenager. It's fun tuning for a moving target ;). I've recurved the advance as well. 12 initial, 32 cent, ~20 vacum. Too much on the latter but it never pings and MPG goes to hell if I rachet it down.

that total ignition advance seems a bit high for a BB too. I've heard 40 max on sbc, and 34 max on bbc's. This would be total with the vac. disconnected.
Works ok though huh? I've learned a lot from the Holley book. I haven't got into the acc pump cams, but have played with the other stuff pretty regularly til I got it dialed in at the strip. Now I am really happy with it.

Good luck
