Holley 502-6 Throttle Body on a '94?

So I struck out in the garage, thought I'd try this here.

Can it be done? The 502-6 is supposed to be used on a 87-89, and the 90-95 models are supposed to use the 502-9 throttle bodies. Is there a way to make the 502-6 work on a 94? What's the real difference here? Something about throttle position sensors?

I've used an '89 TB on a '91. The only difference was the TPS connector. I just spliced on the other connector but Painless do a pigtail. This is stock TBs I'm talking about though.
