Pro's con's opinions ???My TBI is wore out, It's 26yrs old. I rebuilt it a while back did the mods it ran great for awhile. The blade shaft is wobbly the blades don't close all the way all the time. I have looked at a couple used pieces that were just as bad. I'm thinking of just ordering a new holley replacement tbi and being done with it. I ran across a used holley TBI intake that I can pickup cheap it'll go in at the same time.

Hopefully someone has more modern info, but from at least what I heard of the initial Holley TBI stuff, it wasn't good.

Doesn't anyone bush the throttle shaft on TBI? They do Quadrajet's, I'd expect it's nearly the same process.

The older hollys have injector issues and I've been told the new injectors were much better as I replaced them........

You'd be better off buying a bored TB, then have injectors serviced and make the regulator adjustable while it's out. When done the price tag is less then Holly and you have good injectors!

I read a bunch of old threads last night that made the Holley look not so attractive.I looked at the cfm technologies website last night and kinda think that's a good route .Is there anybody else that sells complete modded units? I tried some of the old sites that use to mess with them but most don't mess with tbi or even in business any more? I guess the ls craze has taken a chunk out of the market? My old tbi has had all the ultimate tbi mods the injectors were cleaned maybe a year ago but weren't flowed. I would be just as happy with a clean modded unit as new.

What are you running? Do you even need the bored TB? I did the math, even the bored small block TBI units won't support the CFM necessary for a stout 350, let alone any larger engine. If you need more flow, you might as well use the BBC throttle body.

It's just a plain old mild 350 with no headers, no cam no heads. and yes it sux :haha: The old tbi after all the ultimate mods were done it really woke up the old truck. I figured a new tune different intake and bored out tbi would give it a little more punch. I'm putting it back into daily driver status and just want a solid running truck with as least amount of issues as possible.
