Well i got my whole truck together and engine and trans back in, so it runs fine and everything but about the time the secondarys are suppost to open they dont, i have the silver spring in there, but they dont seem to be squirting fuel when i manually open them, there is fuel in both bowls btw, this is on a 350 with vortec heads, also should i hook my dizzy advance to the manifold full vacuum port or the timed vacuum port on the side of my carb?

You wont see any fuel. Its a wierd thing, but the motor has to be under a load for them to kick in, sitting at idle wont do it and certainly wont when the engine is off.

well for some reason then my secondarys arnt opening up, they move freely but when i get on it it just wont go like it has before and just misfires cause its getting no gas, it runs fine at idle and starting off

Wooh there slick, secondaries not opening wont cause a misfire, it simply wont do anything, if youve got misfire, youve got something else mucked up. COUld be anything from bad spark plug, plug wire, dizzy, rotor, coil, vacuum, etc etc etc.

ya, i had a thread a little while ago about mine. when they didnt open it just started to flatten out. no more power came when it should have. didnt mis-fire or anything. but like badmix said. it might be another problem. or maybe a problem not with the secondaries opening but a problem with fuel delivery in the secondaries or timing?
