well on may 20th me and a couple of buddies convoy'ed out to hollister hills. the trip was pretty sick. i drove my truck up truck hill this time with no problems (before it got stuck in a rut half way). drove through a lake and did the mudpit with no problem where a lot of jeeps and my buddy's blazer got stuck before. after that i was pretty stoked and caught like 4 feet of air off of those dirt mounds (naturally my friend didn't videotape that). then i let my girlfriend drive and she popped the bead off of the drivers left tire because i aired it down too low. since i didn't have a spare, we were forced to drive all the way back to santa cruz then back to hollister with the fullsize spare. good times. oh and i ripped my bumper in half pretty much.

which leads me to my questions:

will a bumper from a '88-98 chevy truck fit on my '87? thers a really nice one for sale in san jose thats pretty much untouched.

also, my dashboard lights dont work. any reason why? on our last wheeling trip i went over a couple of rather large bumps and they dont come on anymore. needs to be fixed because i have a coolant problem and need to see what my engine is running at.

With work anything will fit. I'm gonna fab up my own bumper eventually, I;d do the same if I were you. The one heep we went with did his so he'll let us use his welder and all that. Bring your spare next time. How much is the one in SJ? Its probably not worth it...besides you owe me money and I need it

looks like it was a fun trip, I was thinking i had a stcok rear bumper you could have, but I looked at a pic of it and its the front, oh well...

kewl vid, but i would cut out the part where the kids in the back of the yellow k5 were standing up and without seatbelts.:eek1:
also, get some tow hooks. never use a hitchball as a tow point.:doah:
I think the people that hooked up the strap to the ball were doing that to get it out of the way so they could get to the hitch (they had a hook that went into the hitch). Not the way I would have done it :dunno: . That bumper was held on only by two bolts or so too :haha:.

yeah i know... sick bumper.. maybe its fixable wel' see what i can do. the thing is so rusty though the paint flaked off of the bottom and its just like brown with rust. :(so i think im gonna just get or make a new one. i threw the stock one on there so it would be street legal. ill just take alberts one off of the storage shed and switch it with mine! he will never know! :eek1:

wow... that is a lesson learned... never hook to a ball... can create a slingshot if it breaks and kill someone... I know you didnt know but you should check when others hook to your truck... remember they just hookup and you will be the one to pay....
