So I got got this 350 that has been rebuilt by other owner and has a rv cam and some other things done but I'm not sure what else other than it has a rv cam.I took it out for a test drive and its got balls but didn't drive far cause its not on the road yet waiting to get some work done on it before I put on the road.so anyway its running lean and the idle is really low and rpms bounces up and down.my first ? Is because is a 600 holly 4160 (80457-1) I think it might need bigger jets for the motor.other ? Is when I first got the truck I spent a lot of time cleaning the motor up tooth brush and heavyduty degreaser and in the process I wiped down the carb really good only useing hot soapy water and think when I was wipping it down I adjusted a screw (idle screw)by accident because it idled really good when I got got it other than it running lean.so its been a while since I adjusted a holly.over 10 years.I checked the few vacume lines I have and there are no leaks.

Try adjusting the idle air screws. There are lots of youtube videos that could remind you how to set it. Where in NY are you?

So today adjusted the carb and its not the carb.in my clear fuel filter I'm just not getting gas.it ran for a bit and I could see a little gas in the filter maybe a 1/4 of the filter is full of gas when it was running .I read that sometimes gas will not completely fill a gas filter and run just fine and still getting 8psi with it like that.but in my case the gas stops going into the filter completely and stalls.so I'm thinking now fuel pump and or sending unit which I hope its not the sending unit.so I think I will get a new fuel pump and put in a fuel presure gage and take it from there.my gut telling me its the sending unit now .before I do anything I will go through all the fuel lines make sure there good first.

Is it full of gas?
How old is the fuel pump?
Is the sock in the tank clear?

I like to fill the fuel bowls full, then remove the the line from the pump and run it in a coffee can to see if it will pump it half full in a min.

I totally agree with Vetteracerx, there are so many videos on Youtube that could help you through your mission. about the vacume lines, try to check it frequently since if there is a leak then it wouldn't appear in the first time..
keep updating us.
good luck
