Holy Crow!

I know the price has gone way up since I use to buy them. I was paying $150 a tire from Sears. Last time I bought them was probably 7 years ago and they were 16.5's. Radial Mud Terrain T/A KM
35/12.50R17LT/D(back order until Aug. 2004)
$236.99 @ 4wheelparts.com

hmm. that's kinda high for my budget. :( from what i've heard tho, 4wheel parts sux - so maybe that's a high estimate?

you should see 6 inches of lift...what a difference...and you have just been included in the club of "lucky guys" who not only have a beatiful woman in their life but encourage working on your rig but also help. congrats man...you made it

the other thing i've been considering is the green diamond tires. i don't know.

hey if she does leave you for an import tuner guy just remember....you have 4 wheel drive, big tires, a lift kit and most important....THE ABILITY TO RUN HIS LITTLE RICER OVER!!!!

i hate hondas....the thing i dont get is they thing the fart pipe, rims, body kit and the stupid lil wing is gonna get them through the intersection faster than my 375hp fulltime fourwheel drive beast:doah:

i'm right there with you. i've thought it would be fun to have a sticker on my truck which says "my butt can make a more manly noise than your honda." :D

stupid hondas....

naw, just slap a sticker that says "my lug nuts require more torque than your engine puts out":haha:

i don't know - that's a good one, but it doesn't quite have the ring to it that i'm looking for. to each his own. and not to start another "fullsize sayings" thread, but i know i'm going to stencil onto the tailgate of my truck below the back window "10,000 girls can't be wrong: jeeps are cool."

man. this thread sure has taken a rabbit hole.

fullsize sayings....

for the record and in my defense i was picking on hondas today......jeeps are tommorrow:D

I think I was being a little exreme when I said tuner guy. I need to watch out for the guys with the 67-69 Camaro/Chevelles. She goes carzy when she sees them.

Funny thing is, when we lived in CA, she loved to wheel, especially down in Pismo. But out here in Texas, she just can't get into it.

Props to colbystephens:bow::bow::bow: I believe a golf clap is in order.

Tonight I spent time wrenching on the old truck with my little(r) girl, my 18 month old daughter. She is more than happy to sit down in the muck, hand me sockets I don't need, all the while with a big smile on her face.

We installed a steering brace successfully (minus the drilling since they don't make baby sized safety goggles). Its good to have help from your ladys, no matter the age.

I am going to teach her to drive by age 3 I tell yah. She already likes to "steer".

ahh texas...gun racks and huge racks....

then move back to cali....the wheeling capital of america...we got it all...pismo,gorman,lockwood vally trails, glamis, big bear, barstow, lucern, shall i continue....oh wait...azusa....move back...it will save you the heart ache of some 10 gallon hat wearing goof ball from stealing your "other ride":D

I like that. I'm nowhere near having kids yet - but that'll be a great day to have my kids doing the same. I look forward to seeing pictures of the stilts and the number of phone books required to see that little girl driving your truck. :wink1:

man, those cars are phenomenal. at least she's got good taste! someday i'll do a project muscle car - don't know if it will be a chevelle, gto, or impala - but man they're incredible. over the last year i've gotten my wife turned on to those vehicles as well. it's funny to see how her taste in vehicles tends to follow mine. my next project, however, will be a diesel vw bug for her. this is after i learn to weld so i can build an anti-death cage for her. we're going to be doing biodiesel for this and my rig. you can't beat making your own fuel for 50 cents per gallon and running 40 mpg and 20 mpg respectively - that's for sure.

colby...25 bux man....

colby....25 green backs via paypal will get you the coolest thing...MEMBER status....you get alot more freedom in this site...its like the first time you went wheelin...its the greatest feeling:D

it's funny you say that. guess what my wifey just said to me? "i think you should join - it'd be a good investment." Holy Crow! Now she's encouraging me to spend money on the k5 - not just backing me up in my plans/dreams! :) what a lady. so, out come's my wallet.
