Holy hell!

So uhm...educate the noob...

...rare and valuable or screwball overpriced?

Wow ...

I payed less than $200 for my Warn Premiums.

Yes, way overpriced

Hell, I'm old enough to remembering pay $80 shipped for mine.

This is obviously aimed at the NOS, resto crowd ... but it's still crazy.

Actually I sold mine that were old and used for $250. The chrome was perfect and the dials were in good condition.
Yes resto guys will pay big bucks for those things. They would not put a Warn or anything other than a stock spicer.

That is why now you can't find them at PNP anymore, the guy that bought mine spent 6 months going to every PNP within his range and finally figured he's $$$ ahead by buying mine.

I sold a couple set of them and did pretty good. I have a set now that I'm keeping, bought a set of aluminum dials off a guy on evilbay. I'll just let them sit on the shelve, maybe I'll put them to use someday.

Are Spicers that good? Or is it the collector and restorer thing?

I might buy those to top off my $27,000 Blazer!
I have them on my $27,000 Blazer. ;) I'm glad I do, since that's what they go for now. :doah:

For that price you think you'd get both sets of selector knobs.

Are they really worth that much? I've taken quite a few of them to the scrap yard.

The ones in the ebay add are the external style 3/4 ton hubs, they are good, not that good but I would take them any day over the Warn premiums.
But for me I'd rather keep the internal style hubs and locks, and I do have a bunch of the spicer hubs for those.
The older chevy's never used the internal style for the HD D44 so the resto guys will need them if they want to stay year correct.
And since everything is offer and demand, these hubs will fetch a good price, same as a 203 32 spline or 10 spline, because people want them for doublers, I have seen people sell the input shaft alone for a couple of hundred dollars, I sold mine complete with the adapter for $100, go figure.

Hell for that, I would go outside right now and pull the 203 out of my truck. Ive sent more 203s to scrap than I can remeber.
