HOLY $#!T iT'S ACTUALLY READY FOR THE TRAILS

Re: HOLY $#!T iT\'S ACTUALLY READY FOR THE TRAILS

Nice job, glad to see it's ready for the trails. Wish mine were, but mine is on hold till I find a steady income.

I really like the way the front "cap" turned out. That's close to what I envisioned for mine. My plans are straight up both sides of the radiator, straight back along the frame for about 2', then flare out to the cowl corners make "fenders". I'm also going to an electric fan and laying the radiator back as close to the engine as possible. All done in the name of visibility. So, how is it for visibility on yours?

I also noticed a significant change in your rear links, you reversed the wishbone. I guess that would keep the rear steer from walking the axle out the side (by pivoting at the axle instead of the front frame mount) and lowers your roll axis. One good, the other bad. What was the reason? Am I missing something? There are SO many things to understand about links…

Looks good Nash, what is the wheelbase on that rig?

Re: HOLY $#!T iT\'S ACTUALLY READY FOR THE TRAILS

We reversed the rear upper links because it was alowwing to much lateral movement of the rear axel. It was twisting up funny. it works much better now.

the wheelbase is now 118.5"

thank you for the compliments, but like I said before, I oew it all to Justin at Rocktek Engineering. he designed the whole thing. I was just a wrench turner and weld grinder /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif
He has put in MUCHO amounts of time on this thing.

Re: HOLY $#!T iT\'S ACTUALLY READY FOR THE TRAILS

Any pics of the front link suspention? Linking the front end is next on my things to do list. Also what coils were used. Do you have a parts list or write up about that truck? Dang it looks sharp!

Re: HOLY $#!T iT\'S ACTUALLY READY FOR THE TRAILS

You beat me to that question. What coils are you using, it says in the description 8" coils but for what Or from what?
I was looking at front coils from a 1 ton ford for my setup.
Did you ramp it to see what kind of flex it gets RTI numbers please.
