Homade gas tank

If you could build your own stainless gas tank for free.How many gallons would you make it? I am thinking about 35 - 40. What kind of fuel pump would you use for a carb motor? I have a sending unit from an 87 suburban. I`m thinking of using that sending unit with the electric pump and a pressure regulator.

I would make it as big as would fit and not hang down any lower than the stock tank. I would use a mech. pump and not a electric...esp. not a fuel injection pump...you would burn it up.
