Anybody here home-brewed a shackle flip to gain about 2 1/2-3 inches of lift? Most of the shackle flips on the market are 4 inches. I see that Virginia 4x4 and ORD design make a 4 inch and 2 1/2 but i was wondering if it would be possible to do this http://coloradok5.com/shackleflip.shtml and take a leaf or two out?

Im about to pull out the plasma cutter and do mine tomorrow. I'll let you know how it goes.

I would imagine K5 rears would be too soft with leaves removed. I'm not sure how much different K10 springs are. It seems like with the stock shackle hanger location only having 2" of lift would be basically a flat spring pack. Somebody will correct me if they've tried this, though.

I took the front hangers for the rear springs from a mid 80s 3/4 ton and chopped a bit off the top edges of the mounts to fit them under the K5 body and bolted them on.

Gave me around 4" of lift with stock springs through.

I have some in my sig line. If those aren't very clear let me know I can e mail them to you.
