Ok, I have been scouring the inter webs trying to figure out a way to build a tube bender that’s capable of 180° bends on 1 3/4 DOM.

Here are some plans I am planning to build off of after I finish my fence. I believe you can use pro tools or JD2 dies.

Here are some photos of these home brewed benders. Bases and stanchions are usually made from 3/16-1/4” 2x2 square tubing. The swing made from 3”x1/2” plate. Harbor freight air over hydraulic cylinder.

I should be able to build this bender for under $1000 and it will be as strong as whatever die I put in it.

Here are the plans:

I have one, built it from the gottrikes plans. Works well. Harbor freight air over hydraulic with the pro tools dies. The price of the dies is the worst part. Its the same issue for all the brands but it makes it hard to tool up when 180 degree dies are close to $500 each.
