home built fuel tanks?

BP I know you have TBI so did you order a tank for the first gen or what. Any change to the sender. part #'s would be good. Looks like my tank is wanting to come apart where the vent line goes back up toward the fill tube. When the tank is full some gas seeps out of the top of the tank where that connects. Thanks

Yes, I just ordered a metal replacement tank from a place in southern Ca. called "The truck shop". I think LMC and a few other places sell the same thing.

The issue you may run into is that I had to unsolder the fill neck from my old tank and took it along with the new tank to a radiator repair shop to have them solder the neck to the new tank. It wasn't very expensive.

For the sender, I modified an existing one to add a fuel return line in the stock sender. It's been working great so far. Here's the link:
