Homebrew Steeringbox braces.

I have lots of steel to play arround with. So I'm goign to make my own instead of the ORD unit. I did a search and Only could really turn up 85mudblazin homemade unit. Anyone else have pics??? Just thinking of other ways to do it.

Yeah let me know I have a few brewing in my head but untill I take my truck to my g/f shop up north and start playing with steel I cant exactly think of what to do.

my newish design is the same except it uses a solid piece welded to the piece that goes to the crossmember.
You can search for K5freak44, I sold him one a whiel back.

I just dont like how it mounts to the front crossmember. I think there should be a better way to do it. Its just all those crappy lines are in the way..lol

I had to make my own braces because I used a 2wd frame when I created my trail truck. Here are the braces I made. They are 1/4" plate with 3/8" solid rod welded on as the braces. I know the wavy one sucks but they get the job done as far as I can tell.

Prolly $60-70 with grade 8 bolts and all.
But I can only make the brace for the rear 2 bolts. I dont have any of the stock spacers to make the little front brace on the one bolt. Unless if you wanted to send me the spacer I could do it but I doubt you would want to do that.

Stock spacers I have some I think . Stole em off the truck I raped my box from . Had some from the DD when I went with ORD's piece on the DD . And I have some in the yard .

I can probably send ya 2 of em . But would need several days as I am always busy lately .
