i had to move my body mounts to fit my longer springs and i was wondering if anyone had any ideas about making your own. or can i just move them a few inches forward here and there. how hard are body mounts to move? pictures are worth 1k words. thanks guys

I'd re-use the factory mounts if you can land them on a flat part of the frame again.

Even if you can't, it might be simpler to modify an existing factory mount than start from scratch....

BTW -> I just removed a bunch of body mount bracketry recently (and crossmembers) it's not that hard with a cutoff wheel, hammer and punch but it IS tedious....

Here's your 1000 words:

Years ago I had a rotted out 71 K5,and instead of using the cheap tiwan cab mounts to replace the rotted ones,I replaced them with the bottom base plate off the old bumper jacks that came in GM cars..we had tons of them at the junkyard I worked at,and by turning them flat side up towards the floor, they fit nicely, already had a hole for the cab mount bolt to pass through it,and where the jack used to slide in was the perfect size for the cab bushing to sit on,with a washer on each side!..I welded them right to my new 16 ga galvanized floor I made from thick freezer panels someone put in a junked car..I vowed I'd NEVER have to change a cab mount again, and I'm pretty sure those outlasted the truck!..:D
