This hood buckled in many places. Not just on the location that typically bends when the hinges are not lubricated.

2WD or not, it is a shame to see a nice old truck like that ruined. There are guys here on the east coast who would LOVE to have a truck like that. It would've made a cool shop truck for a repair shop or machine shop.
Stuff rots around here, that same truck, probably cared for the same wouldn't have much metal left below the glass. Heck, I owned a 76 Scottsdale truck with 30k miles one time that the door skins flapped in the wind going down the road and the trim was the only thing holding the metal around the rear wheels up. Farm truck....
