Will a 1987 full-size truck hood fit on a 88 K5? My friends got a metal 4" cowl hood for an 87 truck.

Keep the shiny side up, and the greasy side down.

It should! GM didn't go to new body style pickups until '88!

Should fit and should look awesome! I love the look of those hoods but a new one is $400+shipping, plus you have to get it painted. Getting a deal on a used one would be a great way to get it!

Any idea where your friend got the metal 4" cowl hood? Any info would be helpful. Have only seen them in fiberglass. Thanks - Jay

Here's a link to steel cowl induction hoods:

You'll have to cut and paste the address into your browser. The "url" link in here chokes on the " " in the address.

LMC Truck also has the metal ones...but not at that price. They want 450 for theirs.

Go Through It or Go Over It....Going around is NOT an option.
