Hood hits cowl?

well about 2 months ago i opened my hood and a stick was inbetween the cowl and hood. My stupid head thought just to push it up and breakk the stick well i guess the stick was made of steel and didnt break.Sooo now everytime i try to open my hood it hit the cowl. It doesnt look like my hood moved but mabe the cowl did>this may sound stupid? also i lost my haynes manual so i didnt look at how to remove the cowl and its to cold outside to mess with it anways.

oh yeah i can open it if someone stands on the cowl and pushes the hood up

hinges are fine. straight,centered, and not bent. i dont know if its possible but can the actual cowl move?

Check all of the screws that hold it to the firewall. Under the windshield it is just held down by slide pins, so as the screws loosen it can slide forward. If you bent something with the stick, you may be able to tweak it back a little.
