I have a 1975 K5 blazer and I want to make the hood latch a cable assembly instead of the behind the grill lever assembly. How do I do this?

Easiest way is to go to a wrecking yard and get the whole setup off a donor truck. Thats what I did.
That would be the easiest and fastest.
'77 was the first year for the optional inside hood release, and it involves changing several pieces, so make sure to get all of it. Also the hood was changed that year to allow the use of the secondary safety catch, it's the hood with the little ridge stamped in the front. You either need to use the later hood, or modify your original. I found all this out when I put a '75 hood on my '77 with inside hood release. Oh, and the '81 and up parts are completely different, except maybe the cable itself.
