I'm looking for some hood lock ideas.

A cable release from the cab would be good, but then with the top off, might not be so secure. I guess a chain and padlock through the core support would work, hoping someone has done something a little cleaner.

Anyone?? :dunno:

On my '65 Jeep I had a Chapman hood lock that was cable operated with a barrel lock in the cab. Unfortunately they're out of business. A search at Summit Racing shows several different Rugged Ridge hood locks that are made for Jeeps. One of these may be adapted. Lokar might make one too.

My 72 has cable type lock that runs from the dash. The button on the dash is keyed, push it in, lock it, and it extends a plunger on the cores support into a little bracket that's screwed to the hood. Works well, I'll try to get some pics this evening if you want.
