Any body use these headers for thier builds? I know that they are for a car, but for the price and that they have been 'modified' for a truck frame I figured what the hell. I'll load pics of the modified areas later this evening. Yea its a 350, a buddies dad had a 350 in an IH truck, came time to sell the truck his dad gave them to me. For 50 bucks, I figure I'm saving $500 toward the complete exhaust project

ok got the pics of the headers that are sitting on the garage floor, waiting for spring to show. Just finished pulling parts from Jeg's website, EVERYTHING that I might need, just in case. I'll start by pulling the old exhaust off on a friday night, just the manifolds at first. Once the headers look like they will work then I'll move onto the next section of the exhaust. I think I'll run 2.5" with true duals. With the pictures attached I am hoping that you guys taht have done headers can give me an idea how much modification I will have to do to make them work!

Thanks Brotherhood

It's hard to tell by that picture, how flat is that top tube smashed? Looks like it's dang near flat!

I run Hooker 2453's, they're $175 on summit and fit like a glove. No problems with the install and I have plenty of clearance between the rear shackles (a common contact point). Well worth the $175 and they don't require your buddy's custom BFH modification or notching the frame.

That looks restrictive :doah:

You don't gain an awful lot with shorties, I'd say it's a lot less when one is smashed.

Yep that side is flat, but I figure that if there was 500 hp then it would restrict, but for a stock that won't see above 350hp before a removal, well might not make that much of a difference. But that's why I am asking, since I am a diesel fabricator, not a k5 fabricator, not like some of you! Looked these things up on Jegs, 400 and some bucks. What gasket do I need to look for? What about the three wire O2 sensor, is that compatable with the stock computer or will I need to start playing with the programming? Questions - will they ever end? HELL NO!
