why so much work to run that compressor? cant you just run one in the factory position? i got a 93 s10 with the 4.3 and used the stock one and had it cut, spliced into and wired up in like a hour

Some guys like to keep the stock A/C. Also that compressor does not have oil. So you will need a preoiler and a oil catch in the air line.

ahhhh i didnt even know you could do this with keeping the a/c still working. gotcha

for my set up im just going to spray some oil into it everytime i use it

What did you use to adapt the in/out lines. I made one that I kind of like how it came out... and I kind of don't. I took a piece of 3/8 plate, drilled 3 holes, one for inlet, one for outlet, and one for the center hold down bolt, then tapped the inlet and outlet holes to 3/8NPT. It's a 'neat' solution, but I had to reuse the stock hold down bolt with is 1/2" too long, so I have stacked washers taking up the slack. Turned my nice solution into a hack.

How would one find parts for/install a pre-oiler and air dryer for OBA? I have a practically brand new a/c pump but it is the fat pancake style. Might as well use it.

I found this on evilbay. Think it would work for a truck setup? I also found the pre-oiler, both of these I could find locally, but I want to know if this stuff will work with the a/c compressor.
