Okay, the batteries drained from not driving the Jimmy for awhile so I go to throw the battery charger on it and the horn goes off. I have done the steering column as ya all remember. Everytime I mess with a column, I never get the horn right. I screw it up every single time. So what I want to do is add a small push button to top of the column to make sure it's street legal when I go to get it inspected. Which wires are they and where is the horn and horn relay located? It works as that thing is loud as hell when the hood is open. Holy crap. I never use the horn anyways. I have dual glasspacks to get peoples attention. I swear I can't find the horn. Thanks

Joel in Kentucky where the trees are turning beautiful colors. And they aren't on fire.

the black wire in the turn signal switch connector is the horn wire. If you ground that wire the horn will sound. Un-pin it and connect to one lead of momentary switch, and the other lead from switch to ground.

On my 1990 the horn relay is right above the throttle pedal. Same as on this 87 that I located for photo reference.
