Well I was sitting on the couch and all of a sudden i heard a constant horn outside and went to see what was going on. It was the Burb. I pulled the horn button off and disconnected the wire but that didn't make it stop so I pulled the fuse. I do have an alarm but I don't remember ever hearing the horn when it goes off, only the siren. Any ideas? It's an '87.

Horn relay or a shorted wire possibly, don't know about the alarm, horn probably not used if you have the siren.
Horn relay is a rectangular silver metal box under the dash on older square body's, don't know if that changed later on.

I took that white cap off and there was a thin piece of flat metal across the top that if I barely touched it, it would sound the horn. I bent the flat metal back and put the cap back on. Hopefully that is that. Is that the relay and the white cap is not supposed to come off by itself?

Mines metal and bigger on a 74 But either way no the top shouldn't come off that easy. Good place to start by replacing it.
Check your exposed wire in the engine comp for condition. Was it raining when it went off?

Ok thx. No rain. I think it's fixed by bending the metal flap but I'll swap it out anyway.

I have the same horn issue, but I'm pretty sure it's a short in my steering column. I just move the wheel & it stops.
