I spent hours dicking with the horns today.

Fuse is good, I can hear the relay click MOST of the time when I hit the button.

Both horns are good as they sometimes work on the truck and always work on my Tracker.

Starting to think it wasn't the stock horn. How do you tell when a relay is bad?

Had the wife hit the horn while I had the multimeter on the pos wire for the horn and all I saw was 1.something.

The annoying part is I can have it all hooked up and hit the horn button on the wheel and get the horns blaring...and then nothing the next time. Or multiple repeat blasts and then suddenly it goes dead for a while.

Also, wtf was the capacitor for in the stock setup? Went between the stock pos wire and the horn itself.

relays bad when it dont send power through anymore, do u know how much amps your horn draws when they dont work, i had a similar problem like this in my pontiac and it turned out to be a bad horn

No clue really.

So I should be seeing 12v through the relay and wiring?

I hate electrical shtuff. Anyone know what that capacitor was for?

You should get 12V to the horn(s) when the relay closes. If you can hear the relay click when the horn switch is pushed in but not getting 12V to the horns. The relay is bad. The contact points are burnt or broken.

$9.99 at NAPA and they have my name on the one they have. Knock on wood I should have this fixed tonight.

let me know the outcome, ive got a dead horn as well...stupid thing, i hate electrial as well haha

I was convinced it was the horn as it's out front in the stock location and I've had several other vehicles do the same thing.

No horn, fuse good, relay clicks, and yep, the horn was dead. I should own stock in FIAM.

Guess this time was different.
